# Unravel Carbon

> Unravel Carbon integration for supply chain sustainability and carbon footprint tracking.

<Tip>
  Need help in this area? See [Data Export FAQ](/platform/data-export/faq).
</Tip>

The Unravel Carbon integration exports utility data in formats required by Unravel's carbon footprint platform. Exports produce spreadsheet files for you to upload to Unravel.

## Export flow

Navigate to [**Data Export > Integrations > Unravel**](https://dash.nectarclimate.com/data-export/integrations/unravel) to run an export. The multi-step wizard includes:

### Step 1: Export type

Choose the scope of data to export:

| Type             | Description                                                                                    | Commodities |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------- |
| **Scope 1** | Direct emissions from gas and fuel combustion. Includes fuel type, site, and supplier details. | Gas, Fuel |
| **Scope 2** | Purchased electricity consumption in kWh. Separates renewable vs non-renewable. | Electricity |
| **Transactions** | Water usage as procurement transactions. Includes supplier and quantity details. | Water |

### Step 2: Data scope

Configure the data to include:

* **Date range** — Start and end dates for billing periods
* **Sites** — Multi-select to limit the export to specific sites
* **Include flagged bills** — Toggle to include bills with data quality flags

### Step 3: Export options

* **Export name** — A label for this export (appears in Export History)
* **File format** — xlsx or csv

### Step 4: Preview & download

Review the data summary. The preview shows row counts, date coverage, and affected sites. Click **Export** to generate and download the file.

## Export history

Past Unravel exports appear in the export history table on the same page. Use the **Re-run** action to prefill the wizard with a previous export's configuration.
