What can Nectar do for you?
Here’s a quick summary of the main things people use Nectar for every day:- Automated bill collection — Connect a utility account once and Nectar checks it weekly, downloading and reading new bills without any manual effort. No more logging into utility websites.
- Bill uploads — For utilities without online portals, or when you have old paper bills, upload PDF or image files and Nectar’s AI extracts the data automatically.
- Data exports — Pull clean usage and cost data as CSV files, or push directly to platforms like Energy Star, Watershed, Sphera, and others.
- Analytics — Visualize consumption trends, compare time periods, and break down costs by building, utility type, or date range.
- Data quality monitoring — Nectar flags missing data, anomalies, and issues that need your attention, so nothing slips through the cracks.
- Magic links — Send your clients a secure link so they can connect their own utility accounts without needing a Nectar login or sharing credentials with you.
- API integration — Build utility data collection directly into your own platform using Nectar’s REST API. Supports webhooks for real-time notifications.
How teams typically use Nectar
Energy consultants and brokers use Nectar to manage utility data for dozens or hundreds of client accounts. Instead of chasing clients for bills every month, they connect the accounts once and the data flows automatically. Reports that used to take days now take minutes. Sustainability and carbon accounting teams pipe Nectar data into their emissions calculations and ESG reports. Clean, structured consumption data means fewer errors and faster audit turnaround. Facility managers and operations teams track energy usage across building portfolios, spot billing anomalies, and monitor cost trends — all from one dashboard instead of twenty utility websites. No matter how you use Nectar, the goal is the same: spend less time collecting data and more time acting on it.FAQ
How do I get help?
How do I get help?
Email [email protected] anytime. The Nectar support team typically responds within one business day. When reaching out, include the company name, a description of what you’re seeing, and any error messages or screenshots — the more context you provide, the faster the team can resolve things for you.
Is my data secure?
Is my data secure?
Yes. Security is a top priority at Nectar. The platform holds SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2
certifications, monitored continuously through Vanta. All data is encrypted both in transit (when
moving between your browser and Nectar’s servers) and at rest (when stored). Utility credentials
are stored using AES-128 encryption and are never visible to other users — not even Nectar staff.
Contact [email protected] to request the latest
security report.

There isn’t a dedicated mobile app at this time, but the Nectar platform is fully accessible from
any mobile browser — just navigate to

dashboard, data views, and magic links all work on mobile devices. Most day-to-day work like
creating connections and reviewing data is easier on a desktop or laptop, but checking statuses,
scanning the issues list, and sharing magic links works great on the go.How often is the platform updated?

Can I manage multiple clients or companies in one account?
Can I manage multiple clients or companies in one account?
Yes. Nectar is designed for organizations that manage utility data across many clients. Each client can be set up as a separate company with its own sites, connections, and data. You see everything from one dashboard, and you can control which team members have access to which companies.
