Navigate to Data Export > Integrations, select a connected integration, then run an export. The flow varies by platform.

Portfolio integrations (Energy Star, Metrio, Watershed)

These integrations have a portfolio hub with tabs. The Sync tab contains the export form and history. Common fields:
FieldDescription
Utility TypeThe commodity to export (electricity, gas, water, etc.)
Date RangeStart and end dates for the billing periods to include
SitesMulti-select to scope the export to specific sites
Include Flagged BillsToggle on to include bills that have data quality flags
Some integrations expose additional platform-specific options, such as property mappings or meter identifiers required by the target system.
Watershed and Energy Star support direct API upload — data is pushed straight to the platform without requiring a manual file import.

Export-only integrations (Sinai, Unravel)

These integrations use a multi-step export wizard:
  1. Export type — Choose the scope (e.g., Scope 1, Scope 2, Water, Waste for Sinai).
  2. Data scope — Date range, sites, and filter options.
  3. Export options — Export name and file format.
  4. Preview & download — Review the data summary, then download the file.

Export process

Once you submit the form:
  1. A progress dialog appears showing the export status as Nectar formats and transmits the data.
  2. On success, a confirmation dialog displays a summary and, where applicable, a download link for the exported file.
  3. The export is recorded in your Export History.

Troubleshooting

If an export fails, check the following:
  • Credentials — Ensure the integration’s API key or login is still valid.
  • Date range — Confirm that bills exist for the selected period and sites.
  • Platform limits — Some platforms impose rate limits or file size restrictions. Try reducing the date range or number of sites.
