Connection method: Email MFA forwarding

Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) uses email-based verification for logins from new devices. Since Nectar connects from its own servers, MFA verification may be triggered.
Check if MFA can be disabled. HRSD may allow you to disable additional verification in your account security settings. If possible, this is the simplest approach.

Setup

1

Start a new connection or reconnect

From Data Input > Connections, click New connection and select HRSD, or click Reconnect on a connection showing MFA Token Expired.
2

Enter your credentials

Provide your HRSD username and password — the same credentials you use at myaccount.hrsd.com.
3

Choose MFA forwarding type

  • Managed forwarding (recommended): Nectar provides a unique email address. Update your HRSD account to send verification codes to this address.
  • Customer-inbox forwarding: Keep your existing email and set up auto-forwarding of HRSD verification emails to Nectar.
4

Update your HRSD account

Log in to HRSD > account settings > update the email address for verification codes, or set up your email forwarding rule.
5

Confirm in Nectar

Complete the MFA configuration step. Nectar triggers a test login to verify codes are arriving.

Alternative: Upload bills

If configuring email forwarding is not practical, you can always upload PDF bills directly.
